Harmony Place Brings Excited Future Homeowners Together for Input on Clubhouse Plans and Community-Building

Harmony Place, Rutland’s newest 55+ community, recently hosted an event at Val’s in Holden, where enthusiastic future homeowners gathered to brainstorm the design of a clubhouse tailored to complement a vibrant 55+ lifestyle. The event commenced with a heartfelt toast, honoring the individuals and organizations instrumental in transforming this vision into reality, including Rutland’s planning officials, developer Harbor Classic Homes, Haley Ward Engineering, and esteemed supporters like Representative Kimberly Ferguson, former Senator Anne Gobi, and Sheriff “Lew” Evangelidis.

Attendees, including those with homesite reservations and Reservation Certificate holders, had the exclusive opportunity to contribute ideas for the 3,000-square-foot clubhouse that will serve as the social hub of Harmony Place’s flourishing 142-home community. From exercise equipment to cozy gathering spaces, suggestions flowed freely as future homeowners envisioned a space that fosters connection and well-being.

The developer also shared their vision, including outdoor seating areas, a coffee bar, fitness facilities, a community garden, and a multi-purpose room for activities such as arts & crafts, along with workshops and symposiums on various topics. Additionally, plans are in place to refurbish and relocate historic features such as the flagpole and stone “wishing well,” preserving the community’s rich heritage.

Participants embraced the spirit of creativity, suggesting playful additions like gaming areas, ice cream bars, and Bartesian cocktail mixers for clubhouse functions. Monthly activities such as wine and painting nights, yoga sessions, and dog obedience classes were proposed, highlighting the diverse interests within the Harmony Place community.

The event was more than just a design workshop; it fostered a sense of camaraderie and belonging among future homeowners, laying the foundation for a vibrant community long before move-in day. The final clubhouse design will provide a welcoming space that complements the 55+ lifestyle while minimizing association fees.

Currently, four homes are underway, including two models serving as a sales center. With twelve additional homesites released in early February and six homes already reserved, excitement for Harmony Place continues to grow. Prospective residents can explore available homesites on the Harmony Place website and schedule “Hard Hat Tours” with Karin Anderson of Harbor Classic Realty. She can be reached at 978-786-0555 or [email protected].

Harmony Place offers more than just a clubhouse; planned amenities include walking trails, pickleball and bocce courts, dog parks, gazebos, and pocket parks, providing residents diverse leisure and recreational opportunities.
